Image Good Friday Celebration of the Lord’s Passion, 12:10 p.m., March 21

Good Friday is a day of abstaining from meat for Catholics 14 and older and a day of fasting for Catholics who are 18 and not yet 59. You may consider observing the paschal fast beginning on the night of Holy Thursday and continuing until the Easter Vigil. We fast as a means of anticipating the celebration of Easter.

"I feel knocked out, but I can think of no good reason for wanting to feel otherwise. There is not much use in making long speeches to Jesus about our pains, especially on Good Friday.” -Thomas Merton (Sign of Jonas)

Image The Easter Vigil, 8:00 p.m., March 22

On this holy night, called the “Mother of All Vigils,” the Church keeps watch in darkness, hears the story of God’s work of creation and re-creation, celebrates Christ’s resurrection in the waters of baptism, and gathers at the altar to receive Christ’s body and blood.

Easter Sunday, March 23

Masses at 7:00, 8:30, 10:30 a.m.
The 10:30 Mass will be celebrated by Bishop Jerome Listecki.
There is no 5:10 evening Mass on Easter Sunday.

"In the old days, on Easter night, the Russian peasants used to carry the blest fire home from church. The light would scatter and travel in all directions through the darkness, and the desolation of the night would be pierced and dispelled as lamps came on in the windows of the farmhouses one by one. Even so, the glory of God sleeps everywhere, ready to blaze out unexpectedly in created things.” -Thomas Merton (The New Man)
