Lent Season |
|
Be merciful, O Lord, for we have sinned. - Psalm 51 Lenten Regulations ABSTINENCE from meat is to be observed by all Catholics 14 years old and older on Ash Wednesday and all the Fridays of Lent.
Catholics should not lightly excuse themselves from these minimal prescribed penitential practices.
Lenten Weekday Services The schedule of Masses and confessions during the weekdays of Lent is the same as in Ordinary Time. There are Stations of the Cross on weekdays at 11:40 am. There is exposition of the Blessed Sacrament on the Fridays of Lent after the 12:10 Mass until Benediction after the Stations of the Cross at 5:10 pm. First Friday Latin Masses will resume in May.
Lenten Stations of the Cross & Soup Suppers The Cathedral Parish will resume its Lenten Soup Suppers on Friday, February 19. The evening will open with Stations of the Cross and Benediction at 5:10, followed by a soup supper in the Undercroft. As in other years the people of the parish are being asked to donate yeast or sweet breads for the supper. They can be dropped off in the Undercroft near the kitchen.
